Is the AK-DUO PRO suitable for beginners?
Yes. The AK-DUO PRO is made for beginners and experienced tufters alike, and it is lightweight. Because it does both cut pile and loop pile, you don't have to decide yet which technique you like best. Want everything at home straight away? It's also included in the tufting starter set, or you can put together your own tufting starter kit.
How do I switch from cut pile to loop pile?
You take out the cut-pile scissors and fit the loop-pile needle. That way you switch between a soft pile of loose strands and a firm pile of loops, without changing machines. So within one rug you can vary height and texture. The exact difference is explained in the tufting guide for beginners.
How fast does the AK-DUO PRO tuft?
With the dial, you set the speed from 5 to 30 stitches per second. The motor is 120 W and reaches up to 12,000 rpm. You set the stitch length from 8 to 18 mm. That way you work calmly on details and faster on large areas. For a higher pile, take a look at the AK-DUO High-Pile.
What's in the box with the AK-DUO PRO?
You get the tufting gun in a deluxe storage case, plus maintenance tools: a screwdriver with screws, Allen keys and a threader. A European adapter (type C) is included, so you can plug it into a standard socket. You can order an extra threader or tufting gun oil separately under other items.
Which colours is the AK-DUO PRO available in?
