Thanks to the adjustable pile height from 30 to 45 mm, you can easily play with different layers and textures, giving your rugs a striking depth and dimension. Pile Height Up to 45mm (number 3). Only the high-pile tufting gun can achieve this high-pile result. Our AK-V and AK-DUO PRO can only reach pile heights 1 and 2.

What can I make with a high-pile tufting gun?
With the AK-DUO High-Pile you tuft high-pile rugs, with a pile height you set from 30 to 45 mm. By combining high and low areas, you create three-dimensional rugs with depth and relief. For the low areas, you use a regular tufting gun, such as the AK-DUO PRO. All models are under tufting guns.
How does it differ from the AK-DUO PRO and the AK-V PRO?
The AK-DUO PRO and the AK-V PRO can be set from 8 to 18 mm. The High-Pile starts at 30 mm and goes up to 45 mm. So only the High-Pile reaches such a high pile. For a rug with only a regular pile height, choose one of the other two.
How much wool do I use for a high-pile rug?
More than for a low rug: the higher the pile, the more wool you need. As a rule of thumb, a regular pile uses 500 to 800 grams per square metre. With the wool calculator you work out your usage based on your dimensions and pile height. Order 10 to 15% extra and each colour in one go, from the tufting wool collection.

You get the AK-DUO High-Pile tufting gun, parts for cut-pile tufting, an EU plug with power supply (100 to 240 V) and a set of spare parts and tools. The gun weighs 2 kg. You can order a threader or tufting gun oil separately under other items.
What warranty do I get on the AK-DUO High-Pile?
